Renovation of a 240,000 sq.ft. manufacturing and engineering building complex that has been operating since 1967 required extensive upgrading to accommodate new manufacturing requirements and comply with modern fire codes.

Phase III Water Treatment Facility

The lake at Rancho Murieta is surrounded by low rolling meadows dotted with old California Oaks. Sited directly on the banks is the existing water treatment facility serving the community. When expansion for the community was planned, the facility needed to be expanded and the plans for a duplicate facility were prepared.
The buildings and water storage tanks were sited to minimize the filter and control house bulk and maintain corridor vistas over the lake from the proposed access road. The buildings were kept low and the design reflects not only the original plant but also the indigenous construction of the Gold Country.
The project has been bid and is presently on hold while awaiting funding.
